Therapy for Adolescent Girls & Young Adult Women

Woman with long blond hair sitting on a ledge, looking at a dark stone structure or building.

I provide therapy for a limited number of adolescent girls and young adult women.

My work is focused on supporting emotional well-being, self-awareness, identity development, relationships, and life transitions during these formative years. I am especially attuned to the pressures many young women experience around expectations, achievement, belonging, and a developing sense of self, and aim to create a space where they can explore these experiences openly, with support and greater confidence in themselves.

Who This Work is For

Therapy may be helpful when:

  • Anxiety, perfectionism, or emotional overwhelm are present

  • Self-esteem and identity development feel challenging

  • Friendship, peer, or dating relationships are stressful

  • Family transitions or conflict are impacting well-being

  • Mood changes, stress, or burnout are emerging

  • A young person feels “stuck,” disconnected, or misunderstood

Therapeutic Approach

I use an individualized, integrative approach informed by development and evidence-based practice. My work may include elements of:

  • Relational and developmentally informed approaches

  • Psychodynamic psychotherapy

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

My background in psychological and neuropsychological assessment informs my therapy work. I pay close attention to executive functioning, learning challenges, emotional patterns, and developmental context so treatment is grounded in a deeper understanding of each person’s strengths and challenges.

Parent Involvement

For adolescents, therapy often includes collaboration with parents or caregivers when appropriate, while still protecting the young person’s privacy and autonomy.

I accept a limited number of therapy clients at a time and prioritize cases where this work is the best clinical fit.
